The originally Czech village was gradually Germanized. It belonged to the Pecka manor, but lies on the close borders to the Kumburk manor. In 1627 the village was recorded in the register of the manor of Pecka. After 1781 the village J.P. of Štikov subordinated the District Authorities in Jičín. This position was lineal, which is obvious because of the village J.P.´s names. In the middle of the 19th century, in 1845, the village J.P. Antonín Wágner established the foundation. In 1833 the neo-Gothic fi lial Trinity Church was built by the builder František Volf from Nová Paka due to the foundation money.
